Information about Lidia's
School of Dance
|

|
 |
Dance is fun! It helps build confidence,
coordination, and rhythm. Dance is one of the few activities that
also emphasizes good posture. Signing up for classes at your local
dance studio is a great opportunity to try out a dance class or two.
At Lidia's School of
Dance, we strive to offer the best possible dance experience.
We want the kids to have fun
and learn at the same time. Our school is small. We
have one room and the class sizes are not too big. We really enjoy
teaching the little ones as well as the older students. We provide
both recreational and advanced dance classes.
The studio is equipped with the best dance flooring
available. Dancing on a sprung floor like ours is much kinder on
the joints and body, especially as dancers get older and may spend more
time at the studio.
Our dance educators have years of teaching
experience behind them and continue their dance education by attending
classes and workshops.
We offer a variety of dance classes at different
times during the day for your convenience. We understand
that a happy child, convenient location and convenient times are three
very important factors in choosing a school. We strive to
offer all of these and more.
This may be your first time inquiring about dance
classes or you may already be familiar with the way dance studios are
run. Every studio is a little different. Following are some
commonly asked questions and their answers.
|
- How long do classes run for?
Classes at Lidia's School of Dance start in September and
run through approximately the second week of June.
- Is there a recital?
Yes. We have our recital in the early part of June. The
rehearsal is usually on a Friday and all the dancers attend;
and there are two shows. Not all children dance both nights.
the 3-4 and 5-7 year old dancers only dance one night.
Each of the shows is about 2 hours long. If you would like to
come see our recital, feel free to call the studio the first week in
June for information.
- What if my child doesn't like it?
Most of the children love coming to dance. Some may not be
ready. If they start in September and by October they simply
do not want to continue, you are not locked in for the whole year.
We understand that the little ones are unpredictable.

Summer dance
classes are a great way to introduce your child to dance or try a new
type of dance. There is no recital at the end of the
summer session.
These may be just a few of the
questions you may have. I hope this has helped to answer some of
them. If you have further questions, please call the studio at
(586) 268-3880.
